Today I received these stunning Akita pictures. It’s Daigo (this is Kensho’s brother) and Rona, an Akita bitch.

Does this dog have Akita blood running through her veins?

I have a wonderful dog that looks like part Akita, but is only 45 pounds, about 20 – 22 inches at the top of the shoulder.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if she is indeed part Akita? She has so may mannerisms of an Akita along with the different vocals. Wonderful dog!

I got her from a friend who got her from his brother. They got her from a pound or somewhere in Virginia.

She usually has a deeper groove in her forehead which isn’t showing up in the photo’s here.

She really thought taking her pictures was a definite waste of her time, she wanted to play instead.

Kensho has a brother ‘Daigo’ and recently that brother has got company. A new Akita joined the family. A female one of course since you would just be asking for trouble when you try to stuff two male Akita’s into one small house (or two females for that matter). His new girlfriend’s name is Rona. They have a lot of fun together.

It’s not all that easy to handle two young Akita’s. When I see these pictures I wish a playmate for Kensho as well, but I can still manage to not take action upon that thought . Though I have several names in mind, haha.

Daigo is, just like Kensho, a name that has it’s origin in the Japanese zen buddhism. It usually denotes a great realization or enlightenment.

Kenshō (見性) is born on the 26th of August 2005. It’s a male Akita, a pure bred Japanese one.

His full and official name is Kensho Go Musuko Watakushi-Yumé.

You should read this as follows:

• Kensho – The name he actually listens to or soon will be…
• Go – Everything before this word is the dog’s calling name
• Musuko – The name of his father
• Watakushi-Yumé – The name of the akita kennel where he was bred

Kensho’s father at three years of age

Musuko’s full name is Musuko Go Daichi Watakushi-Yumé. He was born in the Netherlands on the 10th of October 1998. He’s a Dutch champion and one proud Japanese Akita that’s very nice to other animals such as ponies.

Kensho’s mother is very sweet and a good mum. Her full name is Tamami Go Sakai Suwa and she’s actually born in Japan on the 27th of December 2002. After dating that handsome younger Akita guy she became pregnant. On the 26th of August 2005 she gave birth to 4 male and 4 female Akita puppies.
